Mountains Have Ears

I posted something in June where I encouraged everyone to ignore their fears and take the first step. That article has a line that says, “there is a whole world waiting for you to take the first step.”

Yesterday while reading Mark 11, I came across a familiar verse that got me thinking. It suggested that one could have whatever they say as long as it is said without doubt in the heart. It went further to say that, ‘you can say to this mountain “be thou moved and be cast into the sea”‘ and the mountain will move.

If a mountain can wait to be spoken to for it to move, that means it has ears, right? That is exactly what Mark 11 implies! Now, this mountain represents struggles, obstacles and other challenges in our lives that keep us from achieving a life that we desire i.e sickness, being overweight, being in debt, incomplete projects, e.t.c. We face a lot of these mountains in life. The good news is that they have ears, and are listening out for our voices to speak. Yes “there is a whole world waiting for you to take the first step.”

Speak To That Mountain

There is power in words. Once spoken, words carry with them a life and energy of their own that brings healing, peace or destruction. Words have a creative power within them. This is exactly the reason why people will advise that you speak positive things about your life, and that of your children and family. Everything about you and within you responds and aligns with whatever you confess with your lips. Your body soon believes the words you repeatedly confess and your confidence grows. Your tone of voice becomes stronger and believable. Before you know it, you are already acting and behaving like a winner with the authority that moves mountains.

Actions Speak Louder

Another way to move mountains is through actions. Some mountains will not listen to the voice of our words but action. Yes actions speak louder than words. The part that says, “actions speak louder” also means that our actions have a voice, not so? Our actions do have a voice that screams louder than words from our lips ever will.

So you have confessed and declared good things in your life. What next? Act upon your confession. That dream house will not build itself while you sit down with folded arms in the name of faith. You have to do something about it. Actions are the magic that makes things happen. Have you not read that “faith without works is dead”? Get up and start working on making that dream a reality. You want a house? Get that piece of land first. You want to travel around the world? Get that passport first.

Act Victorious

Do not wait until you achieve your wins to start living a victorious life. Start now! Ask yourself what you will do after you move that mountain. Yes you want to move mountains so bad, but what next after you move them?

Three years ago I found myself failing to fit in most of my clothes because I had gained and continued to gain weight. I was losing money on new clothes every month. The weight had to go. I lacked motivation to exercise so I bought myself a suit with a trousers that was 3 sizes smaller than my current waist size at that time. Three to four weeks of light exercises and zero intake of carbohydrates and sugar, a trousers that would previously go up to my knees was now able to go all the way up to my waist. I had lost my weight.

I bought the suit to keep myself in touch with, and focused on my goal. It kept reminding me that I was a man on a mission at the end of each week when I tried the suit on. That is exactly how it is supposed to be! Live like a winner already. Buy those clothes you dream of as you work on your weight. You could be struggling to find time to write your book but have you already done an outline of your paragraphs? Do that and keep reading through that outline weekly. See it how pushes you to find time and write. After securing that piece of land, you will need trowels, spirit levels, wheelbarrows e.t.c to build your house. Have you bought those small things already as a reminder of your ability to win? Be victorious before the ultimate victory.

Conclusion

When you speak to move a mountain, you need to know why you are moving it. You do not just wake up one day and start moving mountains. Nature will not allow you nor support you in your pointless desires to move mountains just for the heck of it. It has no tolerance and time for your ego.

Mountains have ears that are waiting for you to speak but you need to have a genuine reason why you are moving them. A genuine reason is what causes the universe to align and through you opportunities that help you to achieve whatever you are trying to achieve.
